Housing First is simple: give people a safe, stable place to live. No prerequisites, no waiting to “prove” readiness. It’s the belief that decent housing is a human right, not a reward for a positive outcome.

Permanent Supportive Housing pairs a real, permanent home with on-site services — medical care, counseling, case management — woven directly into daily life. It’s not just a roof. It’s a whole community built around helping residents return to wellness and independence.

Decades of research back it up: people experiencing homelessness achieve real, lasting stability when they’re given housing and the right level of support — not the other way around. Study after study shows Housing First leads to higher housing retention, fewer trips to costly crisis services, and better health outcomes overall.

Who We Serve

Chronic homelessness means being without stable housing for 36 months or more — often after the threads of family and community support have worn thin. At The Grove at Correll Commons, we welcome a broad range of neighbors, including veterans, single women, and single men, prioritizing those who’ve called Brunswick home the longest.
