Today we are well on the way to realizing our vision!

Hand in Hand of Glynn has built 60 Tiny Homes at our campus called The Grove at Correll Commons where we will house adult individuals experiencing homelessness. We aim to start welcome residents in March 2024.

Phase 1

September 18, 2018 - Nonprofit status grated 501©3 Tax ID number: 83-1620221

January 16, 2020 - “Conditional Use Permit” granted by the City Commissioners of Brunswick.

January 16, 2020 - Southeast Georgia Health System and Gateway Behavioral Health Services agreed to provide assistance, including case workers, medical and psychological counselors.

February 13, 2020 - We purchased a 4.24-acre parcel, large enough to build 60 tiny houses for our neighbors.

Raised 2.5 million from our board, friends, and interested donors.

May 20, 2020 - Launched a new website to present our program and accept donations online.

May 20, 2020 - Construction of a model tiny home for prospective donors to visit.

June/November 2020 - Renovation of Community Hall and initial infrastructure for 16 tiny homes—water, sewer, electrical, laundry, and medical facilities.

December 2020 - A ground breaking ceremony was hosted in the grounds of Hand in Hand of Glynn.

Winter 2021 - Development of infrastructure and construction of 16 tiny homes.

Phase 2

Spring 2022 - Twenty-four Tiny Homes of 240 sq. ft. have been completed, and infrastructure of water, sewers, electricity and plumbing is being installed in each house this month.

Summer 2022 - Community volunteers have been actively involved on campus moving household items into the Tiny Homes including donated hand-made quilts and original paintings adding a feeling of “Home” to the completed residences.

Phase 3

Spring 2023 - Construction of breeze walkway

Spring 2023 - Completion of pantry and community building

Spring 2023 - Construction of additional tiny homes to complete our village of 60 houses.
